Impeccable Timing

Our computer may not have completely died, but it seems to be in some kind of comatose state. I tried to turn it on Sunday morning and it would not do anything at all- no whirring sound, no lights blinking, nothing! After calling the Best Buy customer service, we learned that we did NOT get the extended warranty on our laptop. We ALWAYS get the extended warranty on stuff like that, but I found the receipt that shows we did not get it. So, during the time that Jason is taking midterms (online) and has papers due, we had to put our computer in the shop!

The happy ending to the story is that my mom has a laptop. She is in Montana and the laptop was packed in a case just begging for someone to use it! Problem solved!

We thoroughly enjoyed the 3-day weekend. The kids were part of the parade in Granbury. Landry had to go to the urgent care clinic for a case of cellulitis in a finger that had gotten a yellow jacket sting the day before. We got to spend an evening with the Grahams, including a men's facial hair tune-up. (It was truly a sight to see with Jason trimming Jasen's beard out on the front porch!)

Tripp had the entire family doubled-over in a laugh at his latest antics. He was doing some kind of performance in the middle of the kitchen as the rest of us were finishing lunch at the table. Of course, we were all watching him as he stumbled around, recovered, and threw both hands up in the air like an Olympian does with they land a gymnastics stunt! This boy is something else! He's been a pet coon lately, with the latest thing being found up on Jason's desk taking inventory of his pen pouch for school. He has a little travel size container of Tylenol in there that Tripp had opened by himself! Note to self: quiet 2-year old equals trouble, trouble, trouble!
