Rowdy Sleepover

Braden finally got to have a sleepover with his best bud, Brody. They cracked me up all the way home from Cleburne (that's where we met up for the exchange on day 1). Braden is such a quiet, reflective guy, but he immediately transformed when Brody got in the car! They talked all the way home. I can't tell you how many times I heard: "Hey, guess what!", "Oh, sweet!", "Dude", etc. They wrestled like brothers when we got to the house. Then, they fought each other with the foam dueling sticks Braden has. Then, they got out the BB gun. There are BB's scattered all over Tolar for sure!! Jason put up the big tent for them, and they packed it with sleeping bags and all kinds of boy stuff. The story is that they stayed out there past midnight, but Brody's legs got too cold so they came inside to sleep the rest of the night!

We met up with Brody's mom in Cresson Friday for Braden to stay with them overnight. They got to go fishing, shoot more BB's, and play video games. The weather was not as cooperative Friday night into Saturday, so they had to find stuff to do inside.

We finally got our Braden back Saturday. He had so much fun hanging out with Brody for a couple of days. They are in the same class in 1st grade, and they appear to be two peas in a pod. Big, tough country boys that love to play just about anything!
