Update

Didn't realize I hadn't been on here in over a week!! I meant to comment after we made a family venture to my niece's volleyball game last Tuesday. I was feeling like a monkey with my little baby monkeys climbing all over me. Tripp was in my lap, Landry was in my lap half the time, and Braden was leaning on me from the row above! My first thought was not to allow them to go to the concession stand, but after having them all over me I changed my mind! Landry chose a Tootsie Roll Pop, which Tripp quickly got his eye on. I was soon marching up the bleachers to get him one! Once again, Jason is claiming that he is spoiled, but I can't figure out why! Anyway, Tripp sucked on the sucker for a few minutes, then I threw it away to avoid any early sugar addictions. We were both covered in a sticky mess, but it was worth it to see him lunge with his mouth wide open for the sucker!

We spent most of last Saturday in Ft. Worth. Jason is going hunting in Montana at the end of the month, so we were shopping for a scope, camo, etc. I understand that most women like to shop, but I am definitely not in the majority on this one. Especially when you spend a significant amount of time in Academy!

Our little man has discovered a phase of "bedtime resistance." For the first 7 months of his life, he has not protested the thought of a nap. Oh, are we paying now! If we get close to his crib, he clinches up, his breathing pattern changes, and he grabs anything (shirt, hair, glasses) he can to say: "PLEASE, do not put me in there, I don't want to go in there!" If you put him in the crib, he cries. If you get him out, he wins. What do you do? I'm not sure yet. My theory so far has been to get him out and wait about 5-10 minutes and try the routine again. He still fusses about it, but not as bad as on the initial attempt!

Landry is a bit sick right now. She has ear infections, which we have not had in quite some time. I thought she had strep throat too, but the test was negative! As soon as I saw spots in her throat, my mind fast-forwarded to how we would deal with a tonsillectomy for her. We have to doctor and bandage paper cuts, ant bites, not to mention pray for every boo-boo she gets! Why do I do that? Assume the worst I mean. Why do you even think about "what you're going to do if..." when the event hasn't even occurred? Probably another one of those mom things! Back to Landry, she's mostly better now. She did miss school on Monday, but at least we had a doctor's note this time!

What's up with Braden? Number one, he has informed us this morning that he no longer wants to be called Braden. He said, "Just call me Dude. If you need something, just say 'Hey Dude' instead of Braden." Okie Doke boss! He's wanting to be trained as a boxer. He saw a snippit of Rocky the other day, so he is doing sit-ups, push-ups, etc. to get ready to fight! We definitely have a 100% boy in him and a 100% girl in Landry!

That's enough for now!

I love Braden now being known as dude! And if Landry gets those tonsils out, she'll be fine. Just send her roses; that made me perk right up!

Okay, now for Tripp. Put that boy in the bed, tell him goodnight, then DON'T GO BACK! I know, it sounds harsh, but it worked for our kids!
