The Pseudo-Sneeze

Those of you who have had kids know about it, you just may not give it the same name as me. A newborn has the real sneeze, a "Ah-choo." But the cute one is the pseudo-sneeze, which sounds more like, "uh-......hoooo." It's kind of a drawn out little noise, and I think it surprises even them that it didn't come out right! They kind of get that bright-eyed look and pause for a moment as if to say, "What was that?" This is the first voice production you get that's not a cry! I love the pseudo-sneeze!

We found the ultimate kid dinner, and I must give Jason all the credit. We made fondue the other night, and the kids LOVED it! It was definitely kid-friendly fondue: meatballs, tortellinis, cheese sticks, broccoli, and wedge fries with ranch, marinara, and cheese sauces. They are still talking about it and asking for another fondue night!! Landry Beth didn't even ask to get up from the table to go potty, which is her usual stalling mechanism to avoid sitting still to eat a meal!

Tomorrow is opening day of Tee ball season! I went and bought Braden's pants, socks, belt, and helmet yesterday. He is so excited for a real game! They had a scrimmage at Wednesday's practice, and it was a preview of the chaos to come! The first few games will definitely be a big learning experience, but Braden is so coachable. He really is a good listener, and he seems to have that drive to succeed. It will be quite a challenge to get 11 boys on the same page when our team is out on the field, but I think it will be great!
