5 Run Rule

Thank goodness for the "5 Run Rule." This means that a team can only score 5 runs per at-bat, even if the other team doesn't have the 3 outs yet. Whew! Our little Red Sox never got 3 outs on the other team when playing out in the field! The first Tee ball game was a great learning experience for Braden. He concentrated really hard, and he was actually quite focused on the game until the last inning. Unfortunately, the other team seemed to have a better grasp on the concept of playing out in the field. It seems the key to success in Tee ball is having a 1st baseman that can catch the ball, and some little fielders that can throw it relatively close to the 1st baseman! There are other important details, like touching the bases, listening to the coach on when/where to run, and NOT throwing the ball sometimes! All I know is my boy had a blast out there today! He looked good too! He did get on base every time... officially one time he was out because he was running to second for a double, but his teammate didn't run from second to third, so Braden was out. You know, details!!
We had child/baby dedications at church this morning, so we dedicated Tripp. He was definitely the youngest, cutest, and most spoiled baby there! He has had two good nights in a row of sleeping a little longer! It was a busy weekend, but all fun family stuff! Tripp is four weeks old tomorrow... hard to believe!
