I guess I never blogged about breaking my foot. I tripped down the steps a couple weeks ago at church and bit it hard. I was carrying Landry and couldn't see in front of myself. I thought I had made it to level ground, but I had one more step to go!! I twisted my right foot on the way down and landed on my left knee. My baby girl never touched the tile, so I was a good momma for that. It was incredibly embarrassing, so I got up pretty quick. It's just one of the bones on the outside of my foot, so it could have been much worse.
We are going to a Rangers game tonight. It seems that the end of summer is coming fast, and we want to do a few things with the kids. We postponed our California trip to August 7th-15th. They actually only charged us $20 to change the tickets when I told them about Jason's granny. Granted, I was on the phone for 87 minutes to get that all worked out, but at least we didn't have to pay the usual "change fee" of $250.
The kids are doing well. Braden has swimmer's ear which is very painful. He is so tough, but he was to the point of crying last night. We're using some drops and a heating pad, and the doctor said it will be several days before it really feels better. They have had an awesome summer at home with Jason! They don't know how lucky they are to get to spend this much time with their dad!
