Water, water everywhere

We have had buckets of rain here in the past few days. We don't have a rain gauge, but I would think it would be well over 5 inches. Jason and Braden had put out fertilizer last weekend, so that was perfect timing. The weeds have taken over our yard, and although they are very green they just don't look very pretty!

It was a good week for us. We just did our routine stuff... and that is always more than enough! Jason had allergies at the beginning of the week, and I started getting them Thursday. I don't know if mine is allergies or sinus or just an old-fashioned cold. I don't feel too bad, but I sound awful. Now that I think about it, I should be taking advantage of that. Just kidding!

Braden and Landry have been talking a lot about Easter. They have Chapel three times a week at their preschool, and Braden is really grasping what they talk about. He'll come home and say, "Pastor taught us..." He'll re-cap a bible story with detail and excitement. His behavior was outstanding this week, so he earned his priveleges back. Little Landry's main challenge is talking with her strong voice instead of her baby talk. I don't know where it's coming from, but it urks me to hear her talking in that whiny little baby talk!

Not much new here at the Karnes house. I'm very proud to announce that my front porch flowers are still alive and doing well. The calla lilies have new blooms after I cut the last set of blooms when they wilted. I was afraid I did the wrong thing by cutting them, but it is blooming again! Maybe my thumb will turn green after all!
