Braden had been needing a haircut for a while. I had trimmed around his ears more than once, and the top was getting really long. Sis went with us and decided she wanted a haircut too! I thought she'd balk once she got in the chair, but she didn't so we just went for it. My intentions were NOT for her hair to be this short when all was said and done, but it is really cute and her hair grows fast! It sure brings out the round cheeks!
You may notice we are not at the retreat. Unforeseen circumstances... what do they say about the best laid plans? Braden had an incident at preschool where he said something very, very bad when he was angry. We've all decided that he didn't know the severity of his comment, but he still has to learn his lesson. His teacher was very understanding and nice, she knows that Braden is a wonderful boy. Her words were that he was very angry and wanted to use strong words to express himself. So, we're home and it turns out to be good because:
Landry has been breathing really loud at night. You can hear it in the living room when the TV is on!! We had looked in her throat and seen really swollen tonsils, but she says her throat does not hurt. I was thinking it might have something to do with having her adenoids taken out so I called the ENT. They said to take her to the pediatrician and guess what??? Strep throat- URGH! She still says her throat does not hurt and she never had fever so I am trying to get over the guilty-mother-who-didn't-do-something-sooner feeling.
I'm off to challenge the kids in a game of air hockey!
