Feast or famine

Some say that the workload of a therapist is either feast or famine. Right now we are having a big feast at the Villa! We'd been slow for about 6 weeks until this week. Wouldn't it be the case that my PT Assistant hurt her knee last Thursday and is now on short term disability? Wouldn't it also be the case that we have vacation (to New Braunfels) scheduled next week? I'm not complaining, so don't misconstrue my comments. I'm just stating the facts.

The kids are over at Debbie and Andrew's to spend the night. This is the first overnight trip to the Moermans' house. I'm sure Debbie is about to pull her hair out. The thought of having 5 kids seems all too insane right now! They've been doing good. Braden had his 4 year old check-up on Monday with Dr. Watts. She was thorough, and she talked to him like a boy (and he is a big boy!). She asked him what his favorite vegetable is... "carrots, the little, tiny baby ones" he said. Whatever, that boy won't eat carrots at all! We bought him some and told him he needs to eat them since they're his favorite!! Landry is good too, just sassy as ever. She's officially mastered the art of cocking her head to the side and batting her eyes when she wants something!!

I'm off to sit in my chair and relax for a while. We are still going on our vacation, Sunday through Wednesday. Charles is going with us, and we have a campsite reserved to park his travel trailer. We're planning on going to Schlitterbahn one day, maybe the river one day, and a lot of hanging out around the trailer!
