Summer nights

I love summer time!! It's so much easier to do stuff in the evenings when we don't have to get the kids up and ready in the morning. They are remembering how to sleep in after a late night! Landry has more trouble with that than Braden. Her internal alarm usually goes off around 6 or 6:30. First request: cereal with yogurt.

We've had a great week so far. I enjoy coming home each day to have lunch with the family. Of course, none of them want me to go back, but that is part of the game! Sara brought us supper last night, and that was awesome. I always love spending time with her. It's just so easy for all of us to sit down and talk about anything and everything! Then, we went to the park to watch Jason's 9:00 softball game. I know, it's a little late for the kids, but they had a great time. The church team joined the city league and they got a pretty big eye-opener last night. They were on the wrong end of a 35-8 beating! I only know the score because I was keeping score for the books!

I forgot to blog about Braden's swimming skills the other day. We were at Pecan Plantation for a birthday party Saturday, and he was jumping off the diving board like a champ. I took them to the Granbury city pool on Tuesday, and he was experimenting in the shallow end without his floaties. He does really well swimming under water. His big accomplishment was doing a back flip underwater. He had watched Brianna do it the other day, but he couldn't do it because his floaties wouldn't let him go under. He finally got it down. He didn't know I had been watching him the whole time, and when he did it he raised both arms up in victory and said, "YES!". I gave him a big thumbs up, so every time he would do it- he looked over at me and gave me a thumbs up! This summer is starting off great!
