Happy Birthday, Braden

Look at this boy! I can't believe today is his 4th birthday! He has grown so fast, and I know it's not going to slow down from here. They are having a water party at preschool today, and I'm pretty sure he thinks it is in honor of his birthday!

We had company all weekend, so it was another busy one. No surprise there, right? We attended a beautiful wedding and reception Saturday. It was for a college friend who conveniently got married in Granbury! Then, we had church on the beach of Lake Granbury on Sunday. Jeremy and Joey baptized 25 people! Braden got to ride in a friend's boat, and both kids swam in the lake. Yes, Landry went in the water! I was surprised because she hasn't wanted to get in a swimming pool yet, but she went right in to the lake.

Jason's mom hosted a luau last night for his cousin Whitney. She graduates from high school next Friday. It was a beautiful party with an old fashioned shrimp boil! Patti went to Central Market for the food, so it was out of this world. Maui pineapples... need I say more?

So, that's a glimpse of the fun we had this past weekend. I missed blogging through last week, mostly because we had a lot going on. I think end of the school year is just an especially busy time. We did plant some bermuda sod in the backyard. A friend of ours came over and gave us an estimate on lanscaping our front beds, and we really want to be able to do that.

I'm still running almost every morning, and I topped out at 60 minutes yesterday. I'm beginning to convince myself that I could do a 10K now! I really want an iPod though, because it gets real old holding my old-school CD walkman flat across my hand so that it doesn't skip. Jason's trying to get me to hold out for my birthday, but that sounds like a long time!

That's all for now!
