Braden had a wonderful birthday party Saturday night. He had some of his friends join us, and that was very special for him. He had a Darth Vader cake and pinata. I ordered a sandwich-by-the-foot from Wal-Mart, and we all decided their rulers are bigger than ours. There was enough sandwich there to feed 50-60 people. Most people got to go home with leftover sandwich and cake in hand! Braden had the best time, and that is what mattered to us most!
We went to see Over The Hedge yesterday. That is a great family movie! Very cute and very clean for the little ones. Landry is just a waller-bug at the movies. I bet Braden didn't shift his weight one time, just totally locked in to the movie. His little sister on the other hand, whew! She was up and down, up and down. She had to go the potty half way through the movie. On the way back, I told her she had to sit in my lap the rest of the time or she would be in trouble. She didn't like it, but she actually went along with it and the second half of the movie was much more enjoyable for me!!
This week is Jason's last week of school. Unfortunately, the kids have already been dismissed from preschool for the summer. That leaves us scrounging a little for child care this week, but I think we've got it worked out. I'm trying to get re-motivated on my diet. I had cake and ice cream at Braden's party, and I was reminded of how good things can taste. I haven't exactly stuck to my diet since then! Today's a new day, right!
