We had a family car wash session on Friday afternoon to get the ol' Dodge clean. Poor Dodge really has been neglected in that department. We cleaned it inside and out, and it looks like a new machine now!!
Our weekend has been good. We spent Saturday morning cleaning the house. Many of the unwanted duties like ceiling fans, light fixtures, and baseboards got attacked by the Kirby and Jason. Closets were cleaned, tubs, pretty much the works. We got the house exterminated, too. Then, I escaped to get my hair cut... just a trim with some added layers. A short trip to Wal-Mart put me home early afternoon to rest while the kids were napping. We had an awesome supper of chicken enchiladas and all the fixins- mmm-mmm. Saturday night, Misti and I went out for some girl time and to listen to Beth.
I contemplated not telling about my rough Saturday morning, but I figure everyone needs a good laugh! I slept about 9-10 hours and woke up totally refreshed. The only problem with me sleeping that long is that my mid-back problem is very serious when I lay in bed that long. So, I was trying to work out the kinks, but it just wouldn't loosen up. I reached up in the cabinet to get the coffee out, and I just got stuck. My back was in a major pinch and I couldn't move. Between my moans and groans I managed to lean forward on the countertop for relief. After a few deep breaths, I was back to normal- no stabbing pains, just stiff. Then, my Landry Beth started babbling over the monitor, so I went to get her. After the diaper change, I was carrying her out of the room, when I tripped over her little doll's stroller. Oh yes, I fell all the way to the floor and hollered out as I was going down. Jason came running in to see if my back went out or what! Nope, I just tripped. And don't worry, I protected Lady Beth as I went down- I think she thought it was pretty funny! Hope that mental picture made you smile today!
