I had the most confusing and frustrating shopping trip ever yesterday! I went to Kohl's to attempt to find Jason something for the funeral. He needed a sports coat and dress slacks (he is a pall bearer). Don't ever try to buy a man dress clothes when he has lost almost 75 lbs. and he is not there to try it on. Ever. Ever. Ever. At one point I had about 5 different pairs of pants and 4 coats hanging on my little buggy. I was making short phone calls back and forth to Jason as he was looking up sizing charts on the internet; the calls had to be short because my cell phone battery was low. Yikes! When I narrowed it down to what I thought he would fit in to, I started putting the extras back. I got two different sizes of coats and pants, figuring one of the sizes would work. Then, I also got a dress shirt and a tie. Well, I did great with the coat, but the pants didn't fit... neither size. That surprised me. Later last night, Jason came up to me and showed me the tags on the pants. Oh yea, they were the same size, evidently I put the wrong pair back. It will be okay. I've already made a Wal-Mart run this morning and picked up some of their dress slacks, which look quite nice by the way!
So, I did make it home. It was a whirlwind day, especially since I did a quick exit from SMART. The whole day was kind of surreal. Everyone was really sweet. They all wrote on a nice card, and some of the girls went in together and bought me a pair of Diesel shoes! They are awesome! (the shoes and the girls) Gwen was in charge of that, I know, because she knew how bad I wanted some. She knew the closest I'd get was some Payless knock-offs if I was doing the buying! We had a great day though. The clinic was slow, so we got to do a lot of talking and just hanging out. I'll miss them a bunch, but I really feel like I've made the right decision. Maybe one day Mario will want to open up a satellite clinic in Granbury!!
