Mr. Aggressive

Braden got his first negative report from Crosstown. His aggressive box was checked on his daily activity report, and the explanation on the bottom said that he broke many crayons in half yesterday. We talked about it in the car after I read the sheet. Then I had to tell his daddy about the report. I can foresee some hard parts about parenting coming up. You see, I really didn't want to tell Jason because I figure I had talked to Braden about it already, but we are a team- and my "teammate" needs to know what happened. I think it is in a mother's instinct to protect her child at any time, and there are so many times when we just want to let things like that go. BUT, this was a perfect opportunity to teach him a lesson. All said and done, Braden understands that what he did was wrong, and he is going to give up his own crayons to give back to the teacher... and of course he will apologize for breaking the crayons.

Braden got a card in the mail. It was perfect because it was the only one in the box and it was addressed to him. For those of you who don't know, Braden loves to go into the post office and check mail with us. He recognizes our box because the tape over our number is peeling off. He holds the key, and we hold him up so he can unlock it. Anyway, the card was from Gram so I read it to him. Braden called them later to say thanks for the card- he had a conversation with them and then said bye and hung up. I'll called back to say hey, but he did a great job all by himself!

Poor Landry is not getting much press today. She now has a drawn out "ok" that is precious. Tim stopped by for about 15 minutes last night to see the kids, and this was the first time (with him) that she wanted to go with him when he left. He was holding her and talked about going, so she just looked at me, waved, and so casually said bye-bye mama! She still has a major shoe fettish. Our closet is raided daily of any flip-flops in sight. She seems to prefer the same pair of each person's flops too. When we're at Nana's house, she always gets the red and white striped ones. I told Jason she is going to develop a stiff-legged limp because she's always walking around with adult-sized flip-flops on that look like skis on her!
