I don't know what to call it, but Jason and I had an awesome dinner date with our friend Sara last night. She used to be just my friend, but now he claims her too! It is so enjoyable to sit down and have adult conversation with someone who understands things the way you do. It's not that we agree on everything, but we have the same values. Her Jasen went up to Kansas to reserve a house for them on post, so he wasn't able to be there with us. We talked about the fact that we are a rare foursome where each person genuinely likes the other, not tolerates one because their spouse likes them! Of course if Jason didn't like Sara, he would just have to
tolerate her because we've been friends for as long as I can remember!
Otherwise, things are good here. The job still has a lot to teach me, but it will be fine. The kids are perfect. We've been having to explain a little more about how we are related to everyone lately. Braden knows who our parents are, so last night we told him that daddy has a little sister- just like he has a little sister. Then, we explained that Kayci is daddy's little sister. Immediately, he said, "Oh, I want a little brother." Alright then! His little friend in his class has a little brother that is a few months older than Landry. I think it has been going through his head lately that he would like to have a little brother like Wade! Would Landry be able to make it if she was sandwiched in between two boys? Time will tell.
