Housework

I'm about ready to hire a maid!! Just kidding. We did a lot of housework this weekend, including going through all the never-worn clothes in the master closet. We have a large Goodwill pile, and the organization of our closet is much improved. That was the last area addressed when we moved in, so we still had a lot of things put in places they didn't belong.

Let me tell you about Braden at bedtime because this boy kept me in stitches over this one. We were talking about who would pray first. He said, "I wanna go first like a chicken... God in heaven, bok-bok" Oh my goodness, I could not stop laughing. It was one of those moments like I remember in junior high when I'm trying to stop laughing and the teacher is looking at me like, 'you are about to get in trouble', but you just can't make yourself stop!

Landry Beth is talking so good! I can't believe this child didn't even say mama 5 months ago! She was looking at a picture of a baby on our calendar- she thought it was Hudson- and she said "Go, udson, go". She is like the little Gerber baby- but cuter!

Now that you have a sunshiny picture of how sweet they are, let me tell you about the afternoon they had yesterday. Everything Landry played with, Braden wanted it all of the sudden. She knew he wanted it, so she tried to hide it from him. He would come after her for it, so she would squeal and scream to get our attention. He just revels in chasing her around the house while she's screaming. If this routine happened once, it happened a hundred times yesterday. And I know what you're thinking- "just wait"- I know, I know. I remember it all- except I was on the spoiled rotten, youngest-of-four end of things. I won't go into the incident where I ran for my life and climbed up in a tree... the bad thing was- I had to come down at some point. Ruston and Debbie claim to not remember this, but it is etched in my brain forever! Oh, the joys!
