93 years

Charles' mother passed away yesterday at age 93. She had been failing lately, and she died peacefully. I did not know Glennon very well, and I had only been around her a handful of times. But I think it says something when the doctors and nurses tending to her at the hospital cried when she passed. She was a Christian, and she would tell you that she was ready to go "home". She raised 4 boys, virtually by herself. She loved her husband through alcoholism, and with much patience led him down the right path. How many people give up on their spouse these days because "it's just to hard"? All of her boys have the utmost respect for women, most likely because they were raised by such a special one. To me, it's not as painful to lose someone when you know they are in heaven.

On a lighter note, the antibiotics are working beautifully because my bumps are going away. Our plans for the weekend are up in the air, regarding the potential problems caused by Hurricane Rita. Jason had planned on taking his cousin down to the Aggie game, but they may move the game to Thursday. I'm just glad there is a good bit of forethought going in to this one, compared to Katrina. I don't think this is a time when many people want to take chances.

You ought to hear Landry say "sassy". Sounds a little more like saucy, with a little Daffy Duck-sounding "s". She is precious. Braden loves his school. Last night he wanted me to spike his hair so he would look like his new friend, Bryce! There artwork is fantastic, of course I am not one bit biased! :)
