Girls night out

We had a StoneWater girls night out last night. We went to Marci's house and set up scrapbook camp for a few hours. It was great for me because I have been the worst to procrastinate about getting Landry's scrapbook done. They always say the second child has fewer pictures taken of them. Not sis, she has hundreds of pictures, but they are not scrapbooked yet. Patti brought me one step closer to this whole process when she bought me the actual book for my birthday. I have my pictures organized, which Misti can vouch for me that this is a job in itself! Last night I got five pages done, minus the journaling. I'm ready to do it again! I do like it, but I forgot how time consuming it is!

Jason was having a pain in his upper back yesterday, and I worked some of my PT magic. He and I were both impressed that it worked, but I think I may have been more surprised than he was! After I worked on his back, he wanted to rest on the bed. So, all four of us got up on the bed. Landry was so funny, she just squealed and laughed about being up on the bed! You see, we don't let her sleep with us unless she's very sick. We tried bedding down together when we went on our ski trip in December. There is nobody in the world that can waller like my little girl. She will roll, sit, stand, pounce, pat, poke, laugh, moan... all of these things she will do for at least an hour before she'll actually go to sleep. In fact, Braden asked the other night, "Can sissy sleep with me in my bed?" Me and Jason just looked at each other with that oh-that's-so-sweet-but-it-will-not-work look. Jason just told him that sis was still too little, but they could someday.

By the way, Jeremy and Joey brought their kids over as we had our little estrogen fest, as Doug called it. Jason told me all about it when I got home. Here's how it went. The guys played poker. Caden (6) climbed to the top shelf in Braden's closet, Braden made it halfway up before being busted. Pillow fights ensued at some point. Also, they would hold a pillow at their chest and run in to each other to see who fell down. Wrestling, of course. Evidently, Braden stopped this when he had been overpowered a couple of times. Jason said he held up his hands and said, "Timeout, alright we're done fightin'." Landry was mostly into the poker chips as she stood in the chair beside Jason. I asked about Hudson (10 mos) and Jason said, "You know, I really didn't hear anything out of him, he just kind of motored around and did his own thing." He should get the best baby award. I did prepare for this home invasion by making rice krispie treats and buying extra fruit snacks. The kids had those and Capri-Sun.

I think we all need a day off now! Come on, Friday.
