High winds

I took a picture of our neighbor's trees that were hit by the straight-line winds yesterday, but it turned out to be way too dark to see anything. They lost significant parts of two big oak trees, and we lost one of our big crepe myrtles. Another neighbor had a sycamore tree fall on their house, which caused a rafter to bust through their bedroom ceiling. I love Tolar... one of our neighbors was surveying all the wind damage on her HUGE 4-wheeler, and we had all kinds of traffic on 6th Street from people coming to look at the Farr's trees.

We spent a good part of the evening picking up stray limbs and branches out of the yard. Then we watched Ocean's 12 after putting the kids to bed. I did my best to stay awake, but I just have a really hard time. I even drank a diet coke so I'd have some caffeine in my system. The parts I saw were good, but I couldn't tell you much about it because I was drifting in and out the whole time. Jason knows that I'm going to fall asleep, so he's always trying to keep me awake. Last night, I was doing that subconscious "pretend to be awake" act, but it didn't work so well!!

Braden told me last night that I did a good job with my prayer. He said, "that's the way you work it, you didn't cry for your prayer." Landry was happy during the cleanup because she got to ride in the wagon as we picked up the mess. All is well at 201 Pine Lane!
