Well, the weekend flew as usual. Sunday nights are my least favorite time of the week. I guess it's just the thought of having the whole week ahead! Last night was good though. StoneWater Church is being held in the evenings through the summer. I wasn't sure about the idea at first, but now I LOVE it! It seems to lengthen the weekend by allowing free time on Sunday morning.
Tony, Renae, and the girls came over yesterday to see the house. The girls could have stayed for hours and Braden would have wanted more time. I bet he asked 10 times, "Where'd Molly and Maddy go? Are they going to come back to my house?" We just kept telling him that they live far away, and that we'll see them again sometime.
Nana and Pa-paw took us all out to eat lunch, then a trip to Wal-Mart. Braden has been really good lately, so I've been wanting to buy him this sword he wants. Well, we couldn't find the sword his little friend had, but he spotted another one that he thought was better. It was only $1.96, so maybe he has inherited a little frugality from me! Of course, since Nana was there, he also got Spider-Man boxing gloves. Sis got a little kitchen set, and Nana picked up the tab. Aren't grandparents awesome!!! Thanks Nana (and Pa-paw).
I was in charge of the nursery at church last night. It was only two babies, so you'd think I'd be fine, right. Well, they were both 10 month old boys. One started crying about 15 minutes into it, and he just couldn't stop. I tried all the tricks I know, but he just kept crying. Then, the other one started. Mom #1 came and got hers, so I gave baby #2 his bottle. He actually went to sleep for about 30 minutes after his bottle. After church, I went outside and held the baby that cried with me, and he was okay with me. I'll blame it on the room. That is a helpless feeling when you can't get the baby to stop crying, especially when it's not yours! Thank goodness nursery duty will only be once a month.
Braden thanked God for getting to play with Jenna's squishy ball (in addition to all the usuals).
Off to the big city for a full day at work!
