Break for Fun!

We were happy to take a break from all of the move-in work this weekend with plenty of fun. We started by having the people that helped with the move come over for Del Norte (mexican food) and Jason's now-famous margaritas. From that party, we inherited two extras: Kayli and Oakley. We had grand plans of swimming, golf cart rides, and maybe even boating for Saturday. We shall not complain about being forced to stay inside because we got a long-awaited rain throughout the day Saturday. It was great to have the cousins over all day, and it was the first sleepover for the kids in their new house!

This is Landry and our little snuggle-bug Ava. She is the granddaughter to one of my friends, and DeAnn really had to twist my arm to talk us into babysitting for a few hours while they went to a movie and dinner ! One of the fringe benefits was that Landry sat with me for most of the afternoon, and I enjoyed the quality time with her too! Ava is only about 5 weeks old, so she just slept most of the afternoon!

And the outing the kids have been so patiently waiting for!! A venture to the golf course. Braden had been to the driving range, but they were ready to try some "real golf." We cruised over to the par-3 course at about 7:00 and knocked the ball around until dark. The kids did pretty good! Braden has a beautiful swing, and Landry uses the Happy Gilmore technique of stepping into it! Tripp also has a club, and he got pretty good at getting his tee in the ground level enough to get the ball to sit on it. Fun times, fun times!
