Double-Take

Braden was telling us something that happened at school the other day with one of the kids in his class. We'll call him the standard name of John to protect his reputation! After Braden gives us the details of poor choices and bad behavior that John made, he said, "That's sure not the John I used to know!" Jason and I did a double take because he said it with such maturity and matter-of-factness in his voice! We actually clarified to make sure- was it a different kid literally, or had he just changed in behavior! He straightened it out for us by saying, "The nice and friendly John from 1st grade would have never done that stuff!"

Anyone subscribe to the strong-willed child stuff by Dobson? If so, we may need it for the little man. He is so stubborn about saying yes ma'am. Not so much about yes sir, but he is a bit stubborn about that one too! When Jason gets after him about saying 'yes ma'am' to me, he'll never say it seriously. He turns it into a joke or says it under his breath! Could this be a birth order issue? Hmm!

Landry LOVES her theater school. She will play the part of Patty in Charlie Brown's Great Pumpkin. Her left ear is in bad shape, so please pray for my baby girl. She will see the ENT again Wednesday to decide on a plan. Thankfully, we have a wonderful doctor that I trust- and of course a God that will walk us through whatever we have to do to get her better!
