Summertime!

How great it is! We are only a few days in, but we are all loving it. Don't worry about Tripp getting exhausted from everything, though. He has slept until 12:30 the last two days, and that was because I went in and woke him up. The good news there is that I have been able to sleep in, as well. I have slept until around 9 o'clock each of the last two days which has been glorious. Braden and Landry are still getting up a little earlier than that but they do just fine. We are all going to bed later, too. Of course, Jen is still getting up early and heading off to work. We wish she could take the summer off, too.

We are playing and going more than ever. We have definitely been playing a lot of t-ball since school has been out. It has been interesting to see the new dynamics of this select league. These kids are good. Braden has learned a lot and is having to step it up a notch with better competition. We traveled to Glen Rose for four games this weekend and then went to Aledo Monday night. We have practice tonight before another game in Aledo on Wednesday night against Benbrook. Landry is going to gymnastics on Tuesdays which is so good and so much fun for her. We don't want her to get lost in the shuffle with all of this t-ball stuff. She has a great time at the games, though. She has made a friend or two and they bring their markers and crayons and toys.

During the day (other than sleeping) we are playing catch in the backyard and getting our outside playing done before it gets too hot. I've been working out on the Bowflex, too. We cleaned the house pretty good Monday. I was able to get some stuff done that I had been putting off until school was out. We have been swimming a couple of times and we went to Fort Worth Sunday afternoon to just go mess around a little. I had a gift card to Sports Authority and then we went over to Academy, which may be my favorite store on the planet. Long story long...we are loving summer!
