Braden had the sweetest heart yesterday in one of his games. He caught the ball at first base and got a kid out. The kid lost his helmet as he was running to first base, so Braden casually goes over and gets the kid's helmet. The umpire never called time, and the opposing team's coach sends their runner from 3rd to home. Braden delivered the helmet, then fired the ball home for our catcher to tag the runner out!! Not the most common double play, right!
Our boys played great baseball yesterday. They won the first two games, then got to play in the championship. Let's just say after five hours of consecutive heat-drenched T-ball, the second place trophies looked mighty fine!
