Lucky Seven

Happy Birthday to Braden today! I can't believe he is 7 years old today, but it is true!! I vividly remember the day he was born, and I had to hold myself back from the classic mom habit of telling him all about how things went 7 years ago! Braden had a great day at school today, Nana picked him up and took him to the park, he had T-ball practice, then he chose to have supper at Mi Familia! How's that for a run-on sentence? That's because it was a run-on day! I know he's mine and that makes me biased, but Braden is such a special young man. He is talented in many different ways, and he has such a kind heart. He makes us very proud!

It's been a busy week from beginning to end. Somewhere in the middle of it all, Jason found time and energy to cook us a beautiful meal of grilled shark, pasta with tomatoes and capers, and homemade pesto. He is quite the chef, and this dish was so pretty that we had to take a picture!
