A New Gig

So, I did it. I resigned my position as boss-lady. I am going to continue to work for Harbor Lakes on an "as needed" or PRN basis, but no longer as the director. My basic premise for that is the fact that the job takes more than 40 hours/week to be done well. Obviously, I am not high on the idea of working more than 40, so I needed a change. Not to mention the fact that I have been ultra-stressed from the various demands of the job. I feel like a thousand pound weight has been lifted from my shoulders. The new plan is for me to do home health. I'm supposed to get a company car by November, and I can put all the miles on their car and use their gas/maintenance card. I made it clear to them in both interviews that I do NOT want to work more than 40 hours a week, and they seemed to respect that. I have a good friend who has worked for them for a few years, so I feel comfortable with everything.

This week was pretty exhausting. We were basically on school schedule because Jason was working all week. Landry's new phrase is, "I'm just tired out." It's quite a challenge getting everyone to bed by 8:30 when we've been so laid back on that all summer. It's not even dark at that time, so the kids were wondering what was going on!

We bought school supplies last night. Yes, we waited till last minute to get them. We will definitely get the pre-packaged box that the school offers next year. Good ol' Wal-Mart was out of several items, but what could we really expect when we waited this long to get them! We also bought the Tripp some baby food. So far he has just had cereal, but I thought he might want to try something else! He had a good week at the Wee School, aside from not sleeping much he did great!

I'm in a major fitness funk. I have a desire to get myself in shape, but I can't seem to get motivated enough to actually do it! My body doesn't really remember what vegetables are. I'm reading Sara's blog and getting jealous that she's having these awesome workouts with her personal trainer. I'd love to get back in running mode that I was in a couple of years ago. I can hear that voice in my head, "then quit talking about it and do it!" I'll get back into it, but if any of you want to give me a shove, feel free!

you know you'll feel better if you workout. and it will help w/ the stress. how i wish i could workout w/o a personal trainer, but i need the accountability. oh, and we do either chicken/fish at dinnertime and veggies ONLY. no starches at all at night. i feel a lot better about that, too. xoxo!!

Okay, you asked for it - your butt is big! No, not really, but I thought it might motivate you. How about, I'll beat you at the half? Anything, yet? You know Sara's right - you WILL feel better and have more energy.
