A New Year!

Even if it is 10 days into it, then Happy New Year!! It's been a busy week for us, getting back into the school schedule and everything! The kids are missing the luxury of sleeping in and hanging out with dad all day.

Believe it or not, Jason and I were both awake at midnight of 2008's beginning. We had gone to a family friendly party that night, but the kids were pooped by 11 p.m. We managed to stay awake until about 12:02 a.m., but that still counts! I can't remember the last time we were up to ring in the new year.

We had some great family pictures made last weekend. I say they're great, although we haven't gotten to see them yet. It sure seemed like we were getting shots with great smiles and poses. That same day I headed to Ft. Worth to spend some gift cards. I had so much fun doing that because I got tons of stuff and only had to spend $27 of our money!!

Monday we got to do a 3-D sonogram of Tripp. Now that was COOL! You can see him as if it were a photograph. He has his big brother's nose, and some already-quite-chubby cheeks! We have about 8 weeks to go, but the date is somewhat in question due to the doctor not wanting to do a C-section before 39 weeks. It was originally going to be March 3, but now it might be March 10. It's no rush in my mind... if we wait till the 10th, then Jason will get to be off 2 consecutive weeks because of Spring Break. Whenever Tripp is ready!!

The kids are great! Braden is learning more and more sight words, and he is still trying to spell everything. Football is still his big love right now, with a mandatory pass/catch game daily! Landry has discovered a bible someone gave her when she was born. It's a precious moments bible with some pictures scattered through it. She carries that thing around everywhere and acts like she is really reading it! That's all for now.
