House Calls

Don't you love the service men/technicians/delivery guys that give you broad window when they will show up, then they don't even make it within that window?? I was held captive at the house waiting on the A/C guy and the bunk bed delivery which both occurred between 4:45 and 5:00 p.m.! This meant that I got plenty of stuff done around the house, but it also means that I almost Landry's entertaining dance performance! Her 3-year old class did a practice run of the routine that they will do at their Christmas dance recital. It was a very cute little show, mostly because little 3 year olds are precious in leotards and dance shoes, not necessarily because they know all the dance steps!

We had a marvelous Thanksgiving by the way! We ended up only having one Turkey dinner instead of the the three that we had planned, but oh well! We had several days to spend with family and away from work, so what else could one ask for!

Braden and Landry now have their bunk beds! They finished assembly last night by 7:00 p.m., and the kids "went to bed" at 7:30! Braden is sleeping on the top bunk and Landry is on the bottom. Of course, she wants the top but we just can't go there. I think it is safest to leave the one who is accident-prone on the bottom bunk! We haven't decided what to do for bedding, but certainly don't care right now! They even took a nap in there this afternoon which is unheard of anymore!! We should be getting the crib for Tripp soon, and we'll have to talk about what kind of bedding he needs. I'd like to do something a little outside of the ordinary, but I haven't even looked into it yet. The room will definitely have to be painted a more boyish color than the current lavendar.

All else is going well around here. We're procrastinating about getting Christmas decorations up and shopping done, but I'm hoping to at least get the tree assembled this afternoon. It's always fun once it is done, it's just hard to be motivated to get it all out! I'm sure the kids will be a big help getting all the ornaments on the tree this year!!
