Walking With Dinosaurs

We went to this spectacular show on Sunday at American Airlines Center called Walking With Dinosaurs. They had life-size dinosaurs that looked unbelievably real. They narrated through the various time periods of the dinosaurs and educated us in all kinds of ways. They didn't allow flash photography, so the attached picture is a little dark, but you get the idea! Braden totally loved it! Mimi had actually gotten the tickets a long time ago, and I had no idea what a neat thing it was going to be.

Unfortunately, we have come to an end on our healthy streak. Landry has been fighting allergies over the past week, but it turned into fever and such this weekend. She is going to the doctor this morning, and her main fear is that she might get a shot since last time she was there she got a flu shot!

I got this cute email not too long ago about a mom of toddlers talking about the discussion of poop in a public restroom (by her toddlers). It is a really cute email, and I could totally identify with her. Landry is like a PA announcer when we go into a public bathroom. "Do you have to go poop or tee-tee?" "Oh, well I have to go poop!" I had finally gotten her to quit asking that for sake of embarassment. Then, I had a hilarious scene at one of my nephew's football games a few weeks ago. Imagine the dirty restroom at a football field that has a line of ladies waiting to take care of business and get back to the game. Landry and I went into separate stalls (mistake #1, but we both really had to go bad). I was done way before her and was down the way washing my hands when I hear her hollering for me and then see her little head peeking under the stall, "Where are you Momma?" "I'm over here washing my hands." Then in a voice so loud that the people in the stands could have heard her: "Momma, you have to come look at my poop, it's a really big one!" Oh, if I could have only crawled out of there. All the ladies laughed and shook their heads as if to say, "We've all been in your shoes." Of course, I didn't try to reason with her, I just went to observe her proud moment and got out of there as fast as possible!! It's great to be a mom!!
