Friday off

Wow, what a great day off today! Landry had her surgery and everything went great! She has a new set of ear tubes and no more adenoids! We had to be in Hurst at 6:15 a.m. this morning, but it went quickly and smoothly. We got home, ate lunch, and then retreated for a nap. Might I add that it was a 3.5 hour nap!! It felt so good to get some rest in the middle of the afternoon. I can't tell you when I last had a nap.

Braden hung out with his Pa-paw while we took Landry. He actually came over and spent the night with us since we had to leave so early. They were perfectly content with each other, hanging out watching cartoons when we got home! Braden is pretty easy to babysit if there is a TV close by. He gets totally entranced by whatever is on the TV.

The flowers in the picture are from my ever-so-attentive husband. He was in Austin for 3 days, including a bad day at work for me. I had mentioned that I would love to have flowers before he left, but after my rough day, I think he remembered about the flower request! I'm looking forward to a 3-day weekend. Jason and Braden are going camping tomorrow, so it will be me and the girl until Sunday afternoon!
