Snow days

What a weird week! And we are expecting yet more precipitation tonight with freezing temperatures. The kids have thoroughly enjoyed the snow. It was beautiful, but not something I want to have around more than once every few years. Guess I'm living in the right place.

Our snowman was of the midget variety because the snow was a bit powdery. It took a lot of effort to get the little guy built. You know what happens with a 4 year old boy around? Yep, he drop kicked Frosty less than 5 minutes after he was built!

I use this blog for different reasons. One is to keep friends/family informed of what's happening in our lives (for those who are interested). Another is for me to preserve some fun memories of our family life. One thing I want to remember is how important it is to the kids for them to get to wrestle with their daddy before bedtime. Any time they mess up during the day, they say, "Can we still wrestle tonight?" It is like the most important thing in their day! What happens is I bring the kitchen timer into our bedroom. It is set for a certain amount of time to be determined by the daddy (this time varies depending on his energy level). Once I hit the start button, the body slams are on! All wrestling occurs on the bed for the safety of all involved! Of course, Braden gets much rougher body slams than Landry. She has actually gotten much better at being tough. They just laugh and holler like crazy...until the timer beeps. Two small wrestlers are disappointed to hear that beep while Jason is quite relieved! "AHHH, time to go to bed!"
