Busted Chin

Our little ladybug busted her chin open on Sunday. I was sitting in church when one of the workers from her class came and got me. She was climbing up the steps on the way to the bathroom and tripped. Mimi was working, so went to the ER and Stephenville and got some dermabond to close her chin back up. The doctor came in to make sure it didn't need stitches. She was laying up on the table as pitiful as can be. Understand that she had not cried up to this point (except when it first happened). The doctor came to look at her and he asked, "Does your chin hurt?" She gave him the saddest little dramatic face, "Ye-es!". She repeated that drama when he asked if everything else on her body hurt! Pitiful, pitiful!

The kids and I got some new boots yesterday. That is how I spent my Christmas money! They are called Fatbaby's. Very trendy and not too westerny! I had a hard time deciding between the black and brown pair, but ended up with the more versatile brown. Landry's boots are bright pink- a perfect fit. Braden got some basic brown boots. Jason didn't find any he wanted, so he got left out of the spending frenzy. After that, we went to Great Clips where Braden got his first commercial haircut. It cost $10 and I think we do just as well as the professional. However, the top does look a little more even than when we do it!

The kids are heading back to Crosstown today. I'll enjoy these last few days of Jason being off. The mornings are much easier when I don't have to get all three of us ready to get out the door. He goes back to work Monday... the same day that I have to travel to Houston for a regional meeting with this new company I work for. Maybe I can wear my new boots to the meeting... Yee haw!
