What have we been doing? Well, it's been a while since I posted. I was crazy enough to tag along with some marathon trainers a couple of weeks ago. We ran 15.6 miles of a hilly, rough course. After that, I decided to retire from ultra-long-distance running. The half marathon was fine, no pain or soreness at all. Anything more than 13.1 miles is not good for my body!! Enough said.
We had a good Thanksgiving. We spent the day with Jason's family. It was nice because we actually stayed at their house all day. No jumping around from place to place to fit everyone in. Friday we watched the Aggies beat the ever-livin' out of t.u. WHOOP! We went to my dad's house to watch that on the HDTV. It is an incredible picture... makes all the people on TV look like real people with flaws! Dad says the actors/actresses don't like the HD so much!
My back acted up on me Friday night and put me on the couch with muscle relaxers and pain pills all day. I was in a bad shape. I had/have a sinus infection, so I couldn't breathe when I would lay down. I couldn't sit up because my back hurt too bad. URGH! My sinus infection got worse, to the point that I literally cried because my head was on the verge of exploding. I got an appointment and made it to the doctor. Two days later, I'm back among the living. Jason has been missing the normal me, I'm sure. I have not pulled my weight around here, and he is exhausted from taking care of the kids and trying to help me!
We're on a half of a snow day today. We all came home just after lunch to avoid slick roads later this afternoon. The kids have enjoyed looking at the snow. They want to know if will snow on Christmas day. I told them that it might, but we all know that is a pretty optimistic thought! It's a great family day. We just had stew, and there is a bread pudding in the oven! Braden and Jason are tuned in to their new favorite movie: Cars. Braden loves to talk like Mater. He sounds just like a miniature Larry the Cable Guy! Landry's in her own world, playing babies and staying busy as a bee. She has been digging in her left ear today, so I need to get her in to see the doctor tomorrow. Please, let them be clear!
