Evening shadows

We have had the best time enjoying our backyard over the past few weeks! Last night we were out there after our early supper. Braden is still the Southpaw slugger. Landry loves for me to say, "Ready, set, run Landry!" She runs straight to the pear to and grabs on for dear life. Then she starts running around it with one arm hanging on to the tree. I holler out the Ring-Around-The-Posey bit and she falls down! As soon as she gets up- "Say that again, Momma!" I bet we did ring around the rosey 10 times in a row yesterday!

Here's what we've been up to-
Friday- Out to eat in Weatherford for Jason's Granny's birthday. We intended to go to a place on the square in Granbury, but it was an hour wait and the A/C was not working! Braden got a haircut before we went. He was being a little critter, so he ended up with a burr! He kept moving his head, and we got to the point where it just needed to be shaved off!

Saturday- The kids and I got up to do a fun run while Jason went to do a skeet shoot at Rough Creek Lodge. I had borrowed Misti's double jogging stroller, and it was only 1 1/2 mile course, so it wasn't too bad! The sad thing was, only about 12 people showed up for the run! They were having a grand opening ceremony for this hike-and-bike trail in Granbury. Talk about nice! This trail is about 8 feet wide and winds from the city park down around a creek and back to city hall. Very beautiful, go Granbury! Then, we came home and took a bath and a nap. They knew if they took a good nap, they would get to go to Papa and Gram's! We headed to Stephenville after nap time and I dropped them with the grandparents so Jason and I could go over to some friends' house for a cookout. We had a great time with them- great food, great conversation!

Sunday- Off to church without the munchkins. It was cute because the little kids in Braden's class asked where he was! I went to get the kids right after church, and I'm sure they necessarily wanted to come home with me! That always happens at the grandparents' house. They love all of them, and they get royally spoiled with all of them! I've decided that that is their right! I got an awesome nap Sunday afternoon. That should be written in stone somewhere- that every mother should get a nap on Sunday afternoon!

Anyway, that was probably more than you wanted to know! Here's a picture from the fun run:
