Scavenger hunt

I got a great surprise when I got home tonight, you'll know why it was so good in a few minutes! There was a note on the door from Jason that said to play along, and that he was leading me on a scavenger hunt. I went from the door to the coffee cabinet, to the air hockey table, then to the mirror in our bathroom. At the end, there was a gift certificate to The Spa at Avalon for a deep tissue massage! WHOOP!

My day was fine, just a Monday. I took Landry to the doctor at 10:30, and yes, the left ear is infected again. This is number four since the tubes were put in November 14. She doesn't seem to have pain or complain about it, and that just almost makes it worse that maybe she has settled for this being normal!

I picked up the kids this afternoon and we headed to my niece's junior high basketball game. We hadn't been there five minutes when Landry fell down one of the steps. I ran to pick her up- she was one bleacher level up from me- and my back went out. Ahhh! Didn't this just happen about a month ago? The body mechanics were terrible, and she weighs 32 pounds. Combine that with an out of shape, aging body and you get an inflammed lumbar disc!

Hence, the excitement about the massage. You see, timing is everything. Jason is the bomb, and I must admit that I love him more every day. He totally surprised me with the gift certificate, and that is what this girl loves-- spontaneity plus romance! Good job, babe!
