BWD

Bad Weather Days. We were all home by 10:30 yesterday morning. Jason's school got cancelled shortly after he got there, and he was insistent that I come home before the roads got bad. I tried to argue a little bit, and I mean only a little bit, but when I saw that he wasn't backing down I just gave it up! It's not that I didn't want to come home, I just had a lot to do. I sure hadn't looked at the forecast and seen how cold and icy it was going to get. I think that sometimes we discount it when the meterologist says anything about a possibility of "wintry precipitation." We've all been burned too many times where it turned out to be 50 degrees that day!! Not yesterday though, and I'm glad I came home for sure!

We spent a great family day together. Jason and I watched Hitch, and we all watched Polar Express together. We made french toast, served continuous snacks to the kids, etc. Jason danced a little jig when his phone tree person called and said no school for Thursday! Braden asked to be "wrapped up like a burrito" in a blanket while he watched cartoons, and Landry had many successful trips to the potty! I'm still not asking her, she just volunteers: " I tee-tee potty, Momma." Then, she'll grab my hand and lead me in the bathroom. Who knows what today holds, probably more movies and snuggling if it's up to me.

Don't tell anyone, but I'm fighting a little cabin fever. I just don't go very long before I want to get out of the house and go do something!
