Giving thanks

We had a great day today! The kids had spent the night with Nana and Pa-paw last night, so we had a nice, slow morning. We slept in, which for us means getting up at 7:00! We got to Papa and Gram's by about 10:00, and we just got home from there. All of the siblings were there and Christine fixed an awesome meal! We just hung out with no hurries to leave. The kids got to play outside a lot, and Landry enjoyed walking Papa around the pond! "Walk, walk, walk" she would say!

Everyone noticed that Landry was feeling better by her mood! The sas is still there for sure, but the sweetness is much more evident. She is a happy little person again. I hate that she felt so bad for so long, but I guess we did the best we could!

We have so much to be thankful for this year. I would start listing all the things, but we all might get a little sappy over it. (that's for you, Gwen) In all seriousness though, our little family has a wonderful support system around us, no matter how dysfunctional we may appear at times! I called it a "zoo" when I first got into Jason's family. And now, my crew makes up an entire exhibit of the zoo! God has been very good to us this year, and if you are reading this- thank you for being a part of our lives because in some way, you have blessed us this year. (Except Gerard, and maybe he doesn't visit anymore!) Happy Turkey Day!
