This is my last week at the SMART Institute. I don't look forward to my last day there. Last time it was like a Steel Magnolia's watch-party-disaster. One person got emotional, then we all started crying! It is contagious, you know. I think once you have children, it's ten times worse! I don't want to go out with tears this time, but it's hard to leave good friends!
I've still got my spots, even a new one was discovered last night when I was shaving my legs. That makes ten in all- every one of them is on my right leg. Really weird. I'm planning on calling my doctor this morning to try to get an afternoon appt. today if possible.
Braden and I made an afternoon run to town yesterday. We went to Payless first and got him some Spiderman shoes that he absolutely LOVES! Then, off to Wal-Mart for some groceries and odds-n-ends. Landry got shoes from there since Payless didn't have much selection in her size. Braden is hilarious in Wal-Mart. He doesn't understand that not everyone in the world wants to talk to him... but he sure wants to talk to everyone in there! He would try to stop each person we passed on each aisle- "See my new SpiderMan shoes, I got them at the other store." If they stopped, then he'd talk more until I moved along again. If they didn't pay attention, he'd say "hey, excuse me..." Oh man, what a boy!
Landry is just her sassy little self. She has learned to perfectly time the smack of her kiss, so she gives the sweetest little kisses. But now, she only gives the kisses when she wants to. You'll ask for a kiss and she says, "no" while she shakes her head and smiles! She repeats everything her brother says. We need to record the mayhem when the phone or doorbell rings sometime. Braden would always say "I'll get it", so now they both say "I'll get it" about 100 times each within just a few seconds! They are absolutely perfect!
