I forgot to tell a Braden story the other day. Sunday when we went to Glen Rose with Patti and Charles, we passed by Patti's work (TXU) . She was telling Braden, "That's where Nana works." He says, "What's it called?" So she says TXU. Oh, the innocence, he says, "Yeah, T-X-me!"
Landry is talking up a storm. The word of the day yesterday was HOUSE. There's no way around it- she has a lisp when she says her 's' sound. Her other new word was "heremy" for Jeremy.
We met the Whites up at the city park at around 5 yesterday. Since it was only 83 degrees outside, we thought we'd let the kids get out and play. We followed that with a visit to Jason's grandparents' and aunt's house. Landry was putting on a show for them. She just adores her Pa-paw (actually a great-grandfather). She says "Ba-paw" with such affection. He takes to it just a little!
I enjoyed my time at home yesterday. It's great to watch how the kids play around here. They seem to migrate to the closets (any of them) to find something to get in to. We spent some time late in the morning playing with blocks. I think it was me and B vs. Landry because every time we would get something built she would destroy it. Her bedroom floor ended up scattered with blocks by the time we gave up. Braden got a little pouty when I put my scrubs on to go to work. He said, "Put your other clothes on." Guess he's figured out what those mean! I asked him, "What do you need?" He said to just stay home (he gets that from his daddy). Needless to say, I spent a minimal amount of time at the nursing home- 2.5 hours- and came back home. Basically, I was just gone during their naptime. That's why I said before that I feel so blessed by a flexible schedule!!
