Somber

The mood in our clinic has been very somber the last two days. One of our therapists just found out her husband has lung cancer. He went to the hospital Tuesday night with chest pain, thinking he might be having a heart attack. The EKG looked great, then they did a chest x-ray that revealed the mass. It is 3 inches x 5 inches which basically occupies his entire left upper lung. Please pray for the McCue family. They have 3 kids, and this has obviously devastated them.

The kids are great. We went to Nana and Pa-paw's last night for supper. The kids stayed the night there since they were going to be there early this morning anyway. Landry was putting on her charm, as usual. Braden played outside, letting his imagination lead him. I love to watch them play, especially when they don't know they are being watched. Braden makes up the funniest and most random stuff!

Jason tried to explain to Braden that he would not see him for two days (he's going to a men's conference in Victoria). But 3-year olds don't have much attention span for things happening outside the present! Jason told him he'd bring something back for him, and he tuned in a little more. So, it will be just me and the kids on Friday and Saturday. I don't know that we have many plans. I am taking them to get their pictures made on Saturday at 5:45, otherwise, we'll just play it by ear.
