Gamers

Jason and I are such gamers! We love to play games, and last night Kinsey and Michael came over to learn how to play 42. It's a domino game for those who don't know, and it is one of my favorites. Well, maybe it is my favorite. They timed it perfectly because both kids were already asleep. We played until about midnight, then Kinsey put her foot down because she had to be at work at 8:30 this morning.

As I type the kids are doing their thing. Braden is watching Tarzan, and Landry is up on the dining room table emptying and re-filling the centerpiece bowl for the 100th time. She has some seriously wild hair this morning. They had eggs and toast for breakfast followed by a Tootsie Roll lollipop for dessert. This is not our norm to give them candy after breakfast, but something told me it would be okay!

We had a "first" last night. The kids took their baths (that's not the first) and I got Landry out first as usual. I turned her loose diaperless- mistake #1. I was getting Braden dried off and tended to when Jason hollers, "Jen, get in here, come here." It was in one of those tones where he didn't quite know what to do so he was calling me. As I turned the corner into the dining room, I saw it. Landry had left a couple of droppings in the floor! Oh, man! Jason said it was like having a dog in the house, and later he joked that she's lucky he didn't rub her nose in it.

It's great having these two little munchkins around. Even though we have to clean up a few messes here and there, I wouldn't trade it for all the money in the world!
