Evidence of a fence

There is some real evidence of a fence outside now. Tim and Kinsey came over to help last night and they got the 2x4's up along the front and side rows. Jason is hoping to make some serious progress over the next two days so he can go dove hunting on Thursday! It's great to have another motivating factor. He's determined to have the fence done this weekend, so we'll see.

I'm playing semi-hookey this morning. Last night, I just could not deal with the thought of going to work this morning. Tuesday is a half-day anyway, so Whitney is going to come over after school (1:00 for a senior) and babysit while I run to the nursing home and do a little work. That will give me some good time with the kids this morning. We got their vintage pictures back last night and they are SO good. Everyone's reaction is the same when they see them, "Oh, my gosh, those are so precious." I had pre-paid for the 10x13 canvas and committed that I wouldn't buy any more than that. When you see the pictures, you'll understand why I got the whole package!! They'll make great gifts!

I've been pondering my speech for the hall of fame luncheon, but I've kind of got writer's block. In some ways, it's hard to narrow down what I want to say. In other ways, it's hard to know what to even say at all! I'll get it figured out. I'm just not much of a dynamic speaker, so I need to get it done so I can practice a few times!

Enough about me. Landry is hilarious. She is starting to put words together now. She'll be riding in the car and say "Cows hot". Yes, the cows are hot. Another thing is the way that she talks about things/people being bye-bye. I don't know how many times we heard, "Pa-paw bye-bye" this weekend. Her speech is so precious. She has such a sweet little voice, and she knows how to get your attention by making it louder. I was on the cell phone with Jason yesterday afternoon and I could hear her, "daddy, daddy, daddy, DADDY". He says what and she says, "Nack... cookie... nonut (donut)... wink(drink)" Jason asked Braden if Landry got fed today, so he goes down the list of what all she ate at Paula's (what a good big brother). It must be a tapeworm because I know she had plenty to eat!

Braden is great. He has enjoyed getting to be outside to help the big boys with the fence. He loves to work with the power tools. He had the cordless drill and was probably running the battery down on it, but he sure felt like he was doing some good work. They are both precious, and I love them more than anything. Braden just got up and told me to get done with my blog so we can play swords. Can't pass that up!
