Braden woke up early on my day off! That's the way it goes. We have to drag him out of bed Mon-Thurs, then on Friday he comes in our room at 6:40 ready to be up and at it!! He also thought he needed to wake up his sister... she really didn't mind. He likes to go in her room and climb up in her crib. He acts like he can't get back out, but he did it when he was a baby so I know he can. They laugh and play when he gets in there, but then he usually antagonizes her a little too much and she starts to squeal. That means it's time to get out!
Not much new here. We're just going to hang out today. I plan on taking the computer in to get fixed, then maybe take the kids to the park while they are fixing it. I'm being optimistic that it won't take very long!
Yesterday I took Braden and Landry to McDonald's on the way home. I had to pick them up because Jason had Meet the Teacher night at Godley. You would have thought they were in heaven. They shared a happy meal, played, then had to have an ice cream cone. The other little kid out there went and got one, so they wanted one too. It was beastly hot, so I was on full-time cone-clean-up duty. They were melting faster than I could lick around the edges. Landry hogged down on hers and finished up the cone. Braden was more interested in the ice cream than the cone, so he sucked all the ice cream out and left me with a soggy cone! They were filthy after the playing on the equipment and eating, so we went to the bathroom for a good rinsing. Of course, they don't have paper towels. Why do places want to have only the hand dryer. It's fine to have the dryer, but they should at least offer paper towels. We made it out looking like we'd run through a sprinkler since we just used shirts (mostly mine) as a paper towel. What fun! As we pulled out of the parking lot, Braden looked down the street and said, "Can we go play at Burger King now?" Real funny B, real funny!
