Daddy's back!

With an hour to spare before midnight, Jason made it home. Braden tried so hard to stay up for him, and he probably could have if he had had his nap yesterday. He fell asleep about 20 minutes before Jason made it home. Jason had gone to get them each a "prize" as we call it. He had promised Braden to buy him a cool flashlight on his trip. Braden got two little flashlights and Landry got a new baby doll.

Papa and Gram came over yesterday around noon. I was trying to help Kinsey and Michael make signs for the church. It was like they had ESP and knew I didn't have any decent food in the house, so they brought KFC! They stayed and hung out with the kids. Landry took a nap, and Braden laid down with Papa. Once he got Papa to sleep, he came back in the living room with Gram!! I'm pretty sure that has happened before!

We had an appointment to get the kids' pictures taken at 5:45. Braden fell asleep on the way to Granbury, so he got to sleep for about 4 minutes before we went in to get the pictures done. It was an antique shot. He was in a big pair of denim overalls with no shirt underneath and the bottoms rolled up a little. Landry was in a simple, white dress with a little embroidery on it. Braden wore an old style golf cap. He was perfect for the pictures. Landry was a little scared by the whole situation. But I planned ahead... I had Nana come and help! She talked Landry into sitting down for the pictures, and she even smiled a few times. I can't wait to get them in!

We had a healthy McDonald's happy meal for supper, then checked by the Spraggins compound one more time before going home. After baths and night-nights, I cropped more pictures for Landry's scrapbook until I ran out of pages in the book! As I got in bed, I noticed my feet and legs were aching. It was then that I realized how much running around I had done yesterday!

Speaking of running- I'm off to start that exercise program I always threaten. I made a deal with a girl at work that I'd run twice a week... we'll see. I think I'll take it step by step in the running department! I'll try a little fast walking and jogging this morning. If I survive that, I can progress from there!
