Yesterday seemed to drag a little for me. I'm still getting accustomed to the part about not getting up and scurrying around for church on Sunday morning. It was great to just lounge around the house. We mostly played with the babies. Landry is still pretty clingy with this ear infection/cough. She's trying to have a major attitude problem, but I'm doing my best to keep her in check!
Braden was all about testing the limits yesterday. We are working on timely obedience these days. He usually does what you ask, but lately it is when he wants to do it. He's also explaining himself. And he's always got a reason why he does or doesn't want to do something. There's been a mild introduction to the "Why" questions, but I know that this will grow exponentially with age!!
After naps, we started getting ready for the "Sneak Peek" at Stonewater Church. They held the service in downtown Granbury in hopes of reaching a larger crowd. The advertising over the last couple of weeks worked... there were 94 people there, including kiddos. The guys did a great job explaining the purposes of the church, and an even better job making outsiders feel welcome. We went out to eat afterward with his cousin and her husband. We talked about the changes and joys that come with raising kids. They do not have any children yet, but they are ready for that chapter of their lives together.
All in all it was a good day. We got home late again, but I suppose the kids and Jason can sleep in. Have I mentioned about being ready for the early bedtimes to be reinstated?! Off to work in Fort Worth today...
