Copycat

So I'm copying Misti's idea to keep a blog. The first I ever heard about a blog was from a patient of mine a couple of years ago. I thought it was a great idea, but I also thought she must have a lot more time on her hands than I do! I'll give it a try, and it will be a great way to journal some of our events and funnies!

Jason and I are involved with a new church in Granbury called StoneWater Church. The pastor is a friend of Jason's that he has known since 6th grade. Jeremy and Jason were even roommates at A&M for a while. Jeremy's wife, Misti, is a friend of mine from Stephenville. They had the bright idea to set us up while we were all down at A&M, and the rest is history. It is great to have them close to us again, and we have kids that are the same age, too!

The kids are doing great. My poor little Landry has another ear infection right now. She had tubes put in March 29, and they are both out already. We got her antibiotics yesterday, and she is starting to feel better. She has some major stranger danger right now. She will not let anyone hold her that she doesn't see at least a few times a week! And that's not even good enough for some people. Braden is great. I think he's grown at least an inch in the past month. His favorite activity this summer is to go swimming. Mimi's pool has been the hot spot on my days off.

I just had a birthday this week. I really am 29. I'm really not bothered by my age. Maybe because I work with a bunch of girls who are turning 40, so I feel good to not even be at 30 yet! Anyway, I had a great birthday this year. Jason and the kids came up to my work to surprise me. They brought my gift and stayed for a little bit. Then Jason put a CD in my car that I've been wanting for a while. When I got in the van to come home, it was playing right away. I was thinking about the great timing that it was on the radio at that time, but when I looked at the screen it was playing on CD! Then dad and Christine took us out to eat at Mi Familia in Granbury. Can't beat Mexican, right!!!

This is my Friday off. Time with Jason and the kids is a bonus on these Fridays off. Have a great weekend.
