Evolution of a dog bite

I was violated by a canine at work about 2 1/2 weeks ago! It was a traumatic experience where two dogs turned aggressive on me.  Luckily, one was only a barker!  But the one that took a bite made it count.  I'd like to claim that it was a huge, fierce pit bull or Rottweiler or something.  Actually, it was just a mid-size mutt.  I've decided that bite force is not dependent on body size though, because this bruise on my leg is hanging on 2 1/2 weeks later!  Animal control verified that the dog is current on his vaccinations, so I basically just had a tetanus shot, antibiotics, and ointment/bandaids as my treatment.  Besides not being able to sit comfortably for a several days, I suppose I came out fairly well.  There are plenty of things to be thankful for as far as what else could have happened or where else I could have been bitten!

Jennifer! That is awful! Can you file worker's comp? ha! I bet the next time you hear a dog bark at you at a house, you will think about it more than you used to. Hugs!
