Brief Update

I have not blogged in at least 3 weeks. You might say we've been a bit pre-occupied... We got an offer on our house on July 1! We have been busy getting ready to move, finding a place to move to, and general real estate paperwork. We are set to close on July 29th, and we will move to DeCordova. Our home will be 11 miles from Godley schools, and it is also much closer to my patient-load in Johnson County. We are super-excited, and we praise God for the many provisions we have seen in the past few weeks.

One great story is about this patient that I have. She lives on the grounds of a business, so I asked her what kind of business they run. Funny enough, it is a company that makes boxes and containers. As in cardboard boxes, bubble wrap, packing paper, and tape. She said, "Oh, if you ever have a need for boxes or anything just let me know, I could get you whatever you need!" I just chuckled and said, "As a matter of fact, we are moving in 3 weeks." She gave us the ultimate hook-up on moving supplies! How cool is that!

Jason has worked super-duty getting things done in and around the house. We are so glad that the move is happening during his summer break from teaching. I can't imagine trying to do this with both of us at work all day. He is still taking his Master's classes, so he is feeling the heat with a never-ending to-do list!

Besides house stuff, Braden is done with baseball for the summer. He had a good season with a final tournament at the World Series in Dallas. We had an awesome double date with the Grahams where we did a crawl or progressive dinner in Ft. Worth. They are great friends who always make time for a date with us when they come to Texas for a visit! I had a birthday thrown in there somewhere with an awesome gift from the kids: $35 gift cards from some of my favorite stops- Mudpuddle, Sonic, Starbucks, and Mr Sparkle car wash!

More updates to come once we get settled in our new spot!
