My, oh my! The latest book was Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. Let me just attempt to claim that I am not a mushy, gushy person. I don't know that I've ever picked a romance novel, not that this book was exactly in that category. However, this book rocked!
I'm ashamed to admit the neglect paid to my husband, children, and household duties over the last few days... but at least it was only a few days! One thing about the Kindle is that you don't really know how many pages a book contains. There is a little bar at the bottom that tells you what percentage of the book you've completed, but no page numbers. I would guess this book has a lot of pages, and I just blew through it.
The author was loosely inspired by the story of Hosea in the bible, but it is not at all intended to depict that story. The story was about a girl sold into prostitution at age 8, and that was the only life she knew until a "good guy" tried to free her from that life. You can imagine there were plenty of bumps in the road, and there were some pretty heart-wrenching descriptions of what went through her mind. That's all I need to say because I don't want to ruin it for anyone interested in reading the book! It's a great read, 5/5 stars without a doubt!

It is SO SO SO SO GOOD. That book really changed my heart. It's amazing how fast you can finish a book that big that fast; you just can't put it down. I'm glad you liked it!
